Eclipse Ibiza Boat Tour 2026: There Is Only One Float Your Boat

On 12 August 2026, Ibiza will experience one of the most extraordinary natural events of our generation: a total solar eclipse over the Mediterranean.

For a few unforgettable minutes, daylight will disappear, the temperature will fall and the sky above Ibiza will transform completely.

Thousands of people will travel to the island to witness it. But while most will be watching from crowded beaches, busy viewpoints or roads filled with traffic, a limited group of just 35 guests will experience the eclipse from the sea aboard the Eclipse Ibiza Boat Tour.

The experience was first announced as part of our original Ibiza Eclipse Cruise 2026 launch , and you can now explore the complete Ibiza eclipse photo and video gallery from the sea.

Watch Ibiza Go Dark from the Mediterranean

The Eclipse Ibiza Boat Tour is a special three-hour experience departing from Sant Antoni de Portmany on the evening of 12 August 2026.

The boat departs at 18:00, giving guests time to enjoy the coastline, swim in the crystal-clear waters near Cala Conta and relax on board before the eclipse begins.

If you want to discover the same west-coast waters on another day of your trip, explore our Ibiza Beach Hopping Cruises , including routes to Cala Bassa, Cala Conta, swimming stops and the island’s western coastline.

Drinks, snacks and music are included throughout the experience, together with a snorkelling stop and time to enjoy Ibiza’s famous west coast from the water.

As the eclipse approaches, the boat will move into position away from the crowds and light pollution, offering guests an exceptional setting from which to watch the Moon completely cover the Sun above the Mediterranean.

After totality, the experience continues with the changing evening light and the return journey towards Sant Antoni, arriving at approximately 21:00.

This is not a traditional boat party. It is a carefully planned, limited-capacity experience created around one unique moment in history.

Why Experience the Eclipse from a Boat?

Watching the eclipse from the sea offers something that land-based viewpoints cannot guarantee: open horizons, space and freedom from the largest crowds.

Beaches and coastal viewpoints across Ibiza are expected to become extremely busy. Access roads may be congested, parking will be limited and many popular areas will reach capacity hours before the eclipse begins.

From the boat, guests can enjoy an unobstructed view of the sky while floating on the Mediterranean, surrounded by the colours of Ibiza’s western coastline.

With only 35 passengers, the Eclipse Ibiza Boat Tour maintains a comfortable atmosphere with enough room to move around, enjoy the sea and experience the event without feeling overcrowded.

Many Will Try to Copy It. Float Your Boat Remains the Original.

As worldwide interest in the Ibiza eclipse continues to grow, more lookalike tours, recently created offers and unofficial sellers are beginning to appear.

Some may use similar names. Others may imitate the route, the visuals or the experience. There may even be operators promoting eclipse trips without the local experience, organisation or capacity needed to deliver them properly.

But a total solar eclipse is not an ordinary sunset cruise.

The timing, navigation, viewing position, capacity, safety procedures and guest experience all need to be carefully planned. There will be no second attempt and no opportunity to repeat the event the following day.

Float Your Boat Ibiza has years of experience operating boat experiences along Ibiza’s west coast. We know the coastline, the boats, the sea conditions and the logistics required to create a professional experience from departure to return.

Copies can recreate a name or an advertisement.

They cannot recreate the experience behind it.

Float Your Boat Ibiza—there is only one.
