Float Your Boat Ibiza Ranked #14 in All of Spain by TripAdvisor – Here’s Why Thousands of Travellers Keep Choosing Us

best boat trip ibiza

Every boat trip in Ibiza claims to be “the best.” The best beaches. The best crew. The best drinks. The best value. Spend five minutes searching online and you’ll find hundreds of tours all promising the same unforgettable day at sea. So, how do you actually choose?

Because unless you’ve got friends who’ve already been to Ibiza, it’s pretty much impossible to know what’s genuinely worth your time and money—and what’s just good marketing.

That’s exactly why millions of travellers turn to TripAdvisor. Not for the glossy photos or clever descriptions, but for the reviews. Real people sharing honest experiences after spending their own holiday on board. This year, those reviews led to something we’re incredibly proud of.

Our Ibiza Beach Hopping Cruise was ranked #14 of all experiences in Spain in the 2026 TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best Awards.

Read that again.

Not the 14th best boat trip. Not the 14th best thing to do in Ibiza. The 14th highest-rated travel experience in the whole of Spain.

Best boat trip Ibiza

For a boat trip that started over 30 years ago with one simple idea, showing people the very best of Ibiza from the sea, that’s pretty surreal. But here’s what makes us even prouder. This wasn’t a lucky year, a viral moment or an award decided by a panel of judges. It’s our third Best of the Best award and our ninth consecutive year of TripAdvisor recognition, earned entirely through reviews from the people who matter most: our guests.

And if you’re wondering what makes one boat trip stand out from the hundreds of others in Ibiza, that’s exactly what this blog is about. Because the award is the headline. The real story is everything that happened before it.

So, What Is TripAdvisor’s Best of the Best?

If you’ve ever booked a hotel, restaurant or activity online, chances are you’ve come across the TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Awards. Every year, businesses all over the world receive the award based on the reviews they’ve collected from travellers. It’s a great achievement, but the Best of the Best award sits in a league of its own.

It recognises the very highest-rated experiences on the platform—those that consistently receive outstanding reviews over an entire year. We’re talking about the top percentage of attractions worldwide, based entirely on genuine feedback from real travellers. No judging panels, no applications and no paid nominations. Just people sharing honest opinions after spending their holiday with you.

That’s exactly why this recognition means so much to us.

Every five-star review came from someone who booked our Ibiza Beach Hopping Cruise, stepped on board with certain expectations and left feeling they’d experienced something worth recommending to complete strangers. In a world where online reviews influence almost every travel decision, that’s probably the biggest compliment a business can receive.

Of course, we were incredibly excited when we found out we’d been ranked #14 of all experiences in Spain. But what makes this award even more special is that it isn’t the first time we’ve received it. This is our third TripAdvisor Best of the Best Award and the ninth consecutive year we’ve been recognised by TripAdvisor.

For us, that consistency says far more than one great season ever could.

After all, anyone can have a lucky summer. Great weather, the right guests and a few glowing reviews can happen to almost any business. But delivering an experience that thousands of people continue to rave about year after year? That’s something completely different.

It doesn’t happen because of one spectacular moment. It happens because of hundreds of small details that most guests probably never even notice individually, but together create a day that simply feels effortless.

It’s the crew who remember that holidays should feel relaxed, not rushed. It’s making sure there’s enough space on board to actually enjoy the trip instead of squeezing in as many passengers as possible. It’s serving drinks with a smile, giving people enough time to explore Ibiza’s most beautiful beaches and never making guests feel like they’re being hurried from one stop to the next.

Those details rarely make it into the brochure.

They do make it into the reviews. Don’t just take our word for it, read them yourself!

And if you spend a few minutes reading through the thousands of comments we’ve received over the years, you’ll notice something interesting. People don’t just talk about the crystal-clear water or the beaches. They talk about the atmosphere. The crew. The organisation. The feeling that this wasn’t just another excursion—it was one of the highlights of their holiday.

That’s exactly what we’ve always aimed for.

So, What Makes This Trip One of the Best in Spain?

It’s easy to say you’ve won an award.

It’s much more interesting to show you what the day actually looks like.

Because if thousands of travellers have voted this one of the best experiences in Spain, you’re probably wondering what happens once you step on board.

The answer?

A lot more than most people expect.

Your day starts in San Antonio, where you’ll board one of our spacious two-level catamarans before setting off along Ibiza’s spectacular west coast. Within minutes, the busy harbour disappears behind you and the landscape completely changes. Rocky cliffs, hidden coves and tiny islands replace beach clubs and hotels, giving you a side of Ibiza that’s impossible to experience from land.

The atmosphere on board is exactly what most people hope for when they picture a day at sea. Feel-good music plays in the background, the bar is open, drinks are flowing and everyone quickly settles into holiday mode. Some people head straight for the sun deck, others find a shady spot with a cold beer or sangria, while groups of friends are already planning their first swim stop. It’s relaxed, social and fun without ever feeling overcrowded.

One of the reasons for that is simple: we never try to squeeze as many people on board as possible. There’s always enough room to move around, stretch out in the sun or simply enjoy the views as Ibiza’s famous west coast unfolds around you.

Everything You Need for the Perfect Day at Sea

One thing guests often mention in their reviews is how easy the day feels. Once you’re on board, there’s very little to think about except enjoying yourself.

Lunch is included, along with beer, sangria, cava, soft drinks and water, so there’s no constantly reaching for your wallet every time you fancy another drink. Throughout the day you’ll also enjoy fresh fruit and snacks, while our friendly crew keeps everything running smoothly without making the experience feel over-organised.

It’s these little details that make the day feel effortless. You’re not watching the clock or wondering what’s happening next—you simply relax and enjoy one of the most beautiful coastlines in the Mediterranean.

Swimming, Snorkelling and Paddleboarding in Crystal-Clear Water

As beautiful as the cruise itself is, one of the biggest highlights comes when the captain drops anchor in a secluded bay.

The water here is exactly what people dream of when they imagine Ibiza. Calm, crystal clear and perfect for swimming.

This isn’t a quick photo stop before moving on. There’s plenty of time to jump straight into the Mediterranean, explore beneath the surface with the snorkelling gear, grab a paddleboard or simply float on one of the inflatables while soaking up the sunshine. If you’re feeling adventurous, there’s even a diving board and water slide to make the most of.

Whether you’re travelling as a couple, with friends or as a family, this is usually the point where everyone forgets about their phones and simply enjoys being in the moment.

Two Beaches You Simply Can’t Miss

The journey continues with visits to two of Ibiza’s most famous beaches: Cala Bassa and Cala Comte.

Cala Bassa is known for its soft golden sand, calm turquoise water and laid-back atmosphere. It’s the perfect place to go for another swim, enjoy a walk along the shoreline or simply relax with a drink while taking in the scenery.

Later, you’ll arrive at Cala Comte, a beach that’s consistently voted among the most beautiful in Ibiza. With panoramic views across the surrounding islands and water that almost doesn’t look real, it’s easy to understand why so many visitors consider this one of the highlights of their holiday.

Unlike many excursions, you’re never rushed from one stop to the next. There’s time to experience each location properly, which is exactly how exploring Ibiza should feel.

Here’s What a Day on Our Ibiza Beach Hopping Cruise Actually Looks Like

So, what does the #14 experience in Spain actually involve?

Let’s take you through the day.

10:30 AM – Welcome on Board

Your day starts at the port of San Antonio, where check-in opens from 10:30 AM. While the crew welcomes everyone on board, you’ll have time to find your favourite spot on the boat, grab your first drink and soak up the excitement before setting sail.

One of the first things you’ll notice is how spacious the boat feels. Unlike many crowded excursions, we sail at a maximum of 50% capacity, so there’s plenty of room to move around, stretch out on the sun deck or relax in the shade. Whether you’re travelling with your partner, a group of friends or the whole family, there’s no fighting over seats or squeezing past other passengers.

As the engines start and San Antonio slowly disappears behind you, the holiday feeling really kicks in. Good music starts playing through the speakers, the bar is open for complimentary soft drinks, water, beer, sangria and cava, and everyone settles into holiday mode.

This isn’t a party boat.

It’s a chilled beach-hopping cruise where the journey is just as enjoyable as the destinations.

Discover Ibiza’s Incredible West Coast

As soon as you leave the harbour, you’ll understand why exploring Ibiza by boat is completely different from exploring it by car.

The coastline becomes more dramatic with every mile. Towering limestone cliffs rise from the sea, hidden coves appear between rocky headlands and tiny uninhabited islands dot the horizon. Along the way, the crew points out some of the island’s best-known landmarks, including the mysterious Love Cave, a beautiful sea cave carved into the cliffs where the turquoise water almost glows as the sunlight reflects inside.

You’ll also cruise past small islands that are part of Ibiza’s protected natural parks, secluded bays that are only accessible by boat and, on clear days, you’ll even catch spectacular views towards the legendary Es Vedrà. It’s one of those parts of the day where you’ll probably find yourself taking far more photos than you expected.

And if you’d rather simply sit back and enjoy the scenery?

That’s absolutely fine too.

One of the reasons guests love this cruise is because there’s never any pressure to be doing something. Some people spend the entire journey chatting over a drink, others lie back in the sunshine listening to the music, while children love watching the sea through the glass-bottom viewing area as fish swim beneath the boat.

float your boat Cala Bassa ibiza

Stop One: Cala Bassa

After cruising along Ibiza’s spectacular west coast, it’s time for the first beach stop.

The boat docks at Cala Bassa, giving you more than an hour to enjoy one of Ibiza’s most famous beaches at your own pace.

There’s a reason Cala Bassa appears on almost every list of the island’s best beaches. The water is incredibly calm and crystal clear, making it perfect for swimming, while the soft golden sand and surrounding pine forest create a picture-perfect Mediterranean setting.

Unlike many excursions where you barely have enough time to take a photo before heading back, you’ll have plenty of freedom to spend your time exactly how you like.

Go for a swim.

Stretch out your towel on the beach.

Take a walk along the shoreline.

Or enjoy a long lunch or cocktail at the famous Cala Bassa Beach Club, one of Ibiza’s best-known beachfront restaurants, where you can enjoy everything from fresh seafood and sushi to Mediterranean dishes while looking out across the bay.

Some guests prefer exploring the small coves nearby, while others simply switch off for an hour and enjoy doing absolutely nothing.

After all, that’s what holidays are for.

The Ultimate Swim Stop

Back on board, the music starts playing again as we continue towards the next stop.

But before reaching Cala Comte, the captain drops anchor in one of Ibiza’s hidden bays for what’s often the highlight of the entire day.

The water here is unbelievably clear.

This is where the boat transforms into your own floating playground.

Jump straight into the Mediterranean from the diving board, race your friends down the waterslides or simply climb onto one of the floating mats and let the gentle waves do the rest.

If you feel like exploring beneath the surface, complimentary snorkelling equipment is available for everyone on board. The calm, transparent water makes it easy to spot fish swimming below you, while paddleboards and bodyboards give you the chance to explore the bay from a completely different perspective.

There are also inflatable donuts and other floating water toys, making this stop just as much fun for adults as it is for children.

Whether you’re looking for adventure or simply want to float under the Ibiza sun with a drink waiting for you back on board, this is one of those moments you’ll remember long after your holiday has ended.

Best boat trip Ibiza

Stop Two: Cala Comte

Refreshed and back on board, the cruise continues to its final beach stop: Cala Comte.

If Cala Bassa is famous for its relaxed atmosphere, Cala Comte is famous for its views.

Often described as one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe, Cala Comte is known for its unbelievably turquoise water and panoramic views across the small islands scattered just offshore. On a sunny day, the sea almost looks tropical, with different shades of blue stretching as far as the eye can see.

Once again, you’ll have more than an hour to explore.

Go for another swim in the shallow, crystal-clear water, snorkel along the rocky edges of the bay or simply find a quiet spot on the sand and take it all in.

If you’re feeling hungry, Cala Comte is also home to some fantastic restaurants. Sunset Ashram, perched on the rocks overlooking the sea, is one of Ibiza’s most iconic beach restaurants and the perfect place to enjoy a drink or a bite to eat while soaking up one of the best views on the island. It’s easy to see why so many visitors spend far longer here than they originally planned.

5:00 PM – Back in San Antonio

As the afternoon draws to a close, it’s time to cruise back towards San Antonio.

The music is still playing, the drinks are still flowing and most guests are already scrolling through the hundreds of photos they’ve taken throughout the day.

After six hours exploring Ibiza’s spectacular coastline, swimming in crystal-clear water, visiting two of the island’s most beautiful beaches and discovering places that simply can’t be reached by land, it’s easy to understand why so many people describe this as the highlight of their holiday.

And perhaps that’s exactly why TripAdvisor ranked it #14 of all experiences in Spain.

Not because of one unforgettable moment.

But because an unforgettable day is made up of dozens of them.

Ready to Experience It for Yourself?

Winning a TripAdvisor Best of the Best Award is something we’re incredibly proud of.

But if you ask us, the award isn’t the best part.

The best part is watching guests step off the boat at the end of the day with salty hair, sun-kissed skin and a phone full of photos they can’t wait to share. Hearing people say it was the highlight of their Ibiza holiday. Reading reviews from travellers who came on board as strangers and left already planning to come back next summer.

That’s what this cruise has always been about. Creating one unforgettable day on the water.

Whether you’re visiting Ibiza as a couple, travelling with friends, bringing the whole family or celebrating something special, we’d love to welcome you on board and show you why thousands of travellers—and now TripAdvisor too—have rated this one of the very best experiences in Spain.
