Andrea De Niro

Andrea de Niro is one example of how old school DJs can influence in new talents. This young DJ was born in 1989 in the northern part of Greece, a country with a great tradition in electronic music and a reference in Mediterranean style music. He had not promoters and funds when he participated in a contest that Carl Cox organized to find new DJs, but he was elected in the first place, in front of other experimented DJs with more means and labels back them. “The Revolution Recruits” changed his life forever, once again Carl Cox was crucial in a DJ’s career, in fact, part of the prize was perform next to the British DJ in Space Ibiza.

This Greek DJ has studied sound engineering and music production at SAE Athens, probably that’s the key of his knowledge, a mix of technical skills and a lot of things learned in a very recognised institution.

His first big project was “Dancing People are Never Wrong”, a radio show with a Mix Cloud platform and he was the producer of this programme. He was playing in many digital radios and he was reviewed in many electronic music magazines, some of them very important like Ibiza Spotlight.

In summer 2013 he could act in Space Ibiza invited by Carl Cox, after this he could mix with names like Ramón Tapia, UMEK, Nic Fanciulli, Monika Kruse, Mano Le Tough, Pan Pot, Tod Terry or Rudimental.

Andrea de Niro uses a base of tech house and mix this beat with Acid/Detroit Techno, tech break influences make us dance all night with him. Bad Habits was his first EP with three original tracks and two remixes, a gift for all of us.
